CERGEP (https://cergep.engr.tamu.edu/) is the Consortium for Education and Research in Geo-Engineering Practice at Texas A&M University. It consists of 14 major geotechnical engineering companies who choose what geotechnical problems need to be solved and pay yearly dues to fund the projects. Started in 2017, it has developed new approaches in geotechnical design.
